There’s new proof that the skyrocketing use of social media is often directly tied into brands and products. If your company doesn’t have a social media strategy for carrying out marketing initiatives, its missing out on a whopping opportunity.
According to a 2010 study by Empathica posted on the MarketingProfs site today, 60% of respondents surveyed say they follow at least one brand per social networking site. 40% say when they interact with brands through social media, they do so primarily to find coupons and special promotions.
