Gaining Klout: How Your Social Media Score Can Help Build Your Business
"Yes, I think Klout still works, within the confines and limitations I've discussed in this and other posts. For instance, my Klout Score is currently 79, and has been between 75 - 79 for months. Yet on Google+ my follower counts and engagement levels have continued to rise dramatically. If Klout was giving appropriate weight to Google+, my score would reflect that. But my point with Klout is that *everyone* has the same issues. No one else is getting any more weight from Google+, so it becomes less of a factor. Instead, what I may need to look at, if I'm comparing scores, is whether or not someone else, specifically, is more or less active than I am on Google+. If I have a lower Klout Score, but they're far more active on Facebook and far less active on Google+, I might be fine with that. If they have approximately the same amount of activity as I do on Google+, than I know there are things they may be doing better than I on other platforms and warrants more attention. Particularly if they're a competitor."Google Plus For Business and Individuals - Plus Your Business
"As with most of the clients I work with, we take a look at the industry, social networks, digital assets, interests of the business/owner, and more, and try to determine the best platforms to focus on. That said, I think Google+ is fantastic for any business for a variety of reasons, though it's not always for marketing."Subscribe
