I like to think of things in threes. It seems that my brain more readily learns and retains three things at a time. Three is a mystical number that shows up in the Bible and fairy tales too, so there must be something to it!

I like this post a lot! I totally agree when you say about referrals, it isn’t something you should do passively. Many people don't get that. Great post, thanks for sharing, Niall

Thanks Niall. It's frustrating when someone says to a colleague that has a need to "call So-and-So" and considers that a referral. So and So never gets the call. The colleague never gets the help they need.

The rule of 3 was applied to 13th century sacred music in Europe - the Ars Antiqua - all church compositions had to be in 3 voice parts, and in triple time. Classical North Indian music also has a rule of 3 for repetitions of a musical phrase (not 2 or 4 like in the West). "3" has been ruling for a long time!

Indeed! Very interesting. The Bible is full or threes: The three wise men, and well, one of the biggest referrals of all time, when Mary referred Jesus as leaving the tomb after three days!
