I am in the food business as well make gourmet cookies and fortunately marketing personality!! And i believe building a brand is ongoing process and your own unique branding idea comes from you. Yes YOU, no consultant can create a DNA for your brand; of course they can help in execution and makeup.

'Your brand makes friends with select group of people' -- certainly is. That's why it's not easy to monopolize the entire niche. Another good reason why we shall keep watch of our branding -- this is a timely post as I will be putting this into practice with a client's fan page. You got my vote too.

Hi Bhuvan, "I believe your brand is an extension for your own personality" what a great way to look @ branding. I made many mistakes in the beginning with branding, I really wish I had read this post at the time. Small business particularly can be guilty of leaving branding till the last minute, unfortunately by this stage damage may have already been done. Thanks for sharing, Niall
