Are you a Crow or Magpie - big in size but the slightest movement will scare you off forever more? Are you a Blackbird - spending all your time obsessed with wooing the ladies and staving off a single competitor?

Excellent post Elaine. What a nice way to describe different personality types in business - could visualise each one perfectly. I would like to think I'm a robin, but I know that I have elements of all the others as well!

Great read Elaine! Really enjoyed it - made me want to visit your garden and spend more time in mine. I've got a robin in the front and one in the back. Also got a pair of those white pigeons that almost look like doves from afar. Spring's coming!

ha.. you really had me at your pre-post: WARNING. That's the ironic of being a human, ah.. we all remember the story of the forbidden fruit right? Of course I read all the way till the end even though I have very little knowledge of our feathery friends.

I considered myself more of a Robin, but hopefully in future to be an occasional Wren: to grab hold of the opportunities and finish the job with wisdom, remained objective in all circumstances.

Love this! Such a really cool analogy. I've met a few finches in my time :-)

The one bird that I see missing is the Hawk, with high visual acuity, hunting by sudden dashes from a concealed perch.
