M4bmarketing, yes, it's hard to tell what's good and bad info for anybody new. We all had to learn one way or another, either from good instincts (good common sense) or learn the hard way, or be fortunate to have someone as a guide.

Thanks for sharing Ben's article Ileane. One problem especially for new or inexperienced business is knowing how to decifer what is correct information and what isn't. The good news is as you become more experienced you can judge pretty well if the information is applicable to your business and customer relationships.

I really enjoyed this article, Ileane! Before the web I noticed the same thing in magazines that you mention in #1 - it's dribs & drabs of info in no particular order, not necessarily leading to a definable conclusion. That's why I relied on books for clear-cut, structured info.
