There's a saying that a great product sells itself but not without people knowing about it. Social media is great help in this regard.

Great post. I check my traffic everyday and will tweak based on what I see. I use Stumbleupon paid discovery and saw just how poor my bounce rate was from that source. Because of that I emailed support and asked what I could do differently and the suggestions they gave has made a small difference. I am only in the first week of measuring but it looks better.

A very awesome case study Mauro. I do believe that posting frequency really affects organic ranking but just like T.I, i also agree with your point that its good to test things yourself before concluding. Thanks for sharing this with the bizsugar community.

Good input, Val. I can understand Heather's perspective as well. Sites with more pages of content will def get more organic traffic than those sites with few pages.

Very interesting case study, Mauro.

I totally agree with you that you should always test things for yourself before your form your final conclusion. I will be running several tests over the nest few weeks and I’m excited to see what results I’ll yield as well.

In terms of sustained traffic, Ti, I'm willing to bet this does have a lot to do with the sheer number of posts on your site as well. So, if you have, say, 200 posts already on a Website, you will see much more sustained activity when you reduce the frequency of posting than when you have maybe 10 posts. On the other hand, I suspect we're also talking about scale here. My suspicion is that with big news sites where readers expect to go regularly for updated information, these sites would see a huge drop in traffic if they stopped posting, even for a week. At that point their traffic would still probably be much higher than the average solo blog, but still low when compared with their traffic at full output.
