Terms and Conditions

BizSugar Rock Your Biz Blogging Competition

By participating in the Rock Your Biz Competition, the participant (hereinafter referred to as “the Participant”) accepts the provisions of these Terms and Conditions.

The Competition is organized by BizSugar, and will be carried out on BizSugar under the “Rock Your Biz” category (hereinafter referred to as “the Competition Website”).

How to enter and deadline date

1.) Write and publish a blog post on your own blog or on any business blog where you have author privileges, between June 28 - July 30, 2012. The post must be original and should share tips and advice for other small businesses or startup entrepreneurs about how to use social networking, blogging and/or social media in your business.

2.) Submit your post to BizSugar, choosing the category “Rock Your Biz” during the submission process.

3.) Generate community votes and comments on BizSugar.

Deadline date: All posts must be written, submitted to BizSugar, and votes/comments generated no later than July 30, 2012, by 11:59 pm Pacific Time (Los Angeles, California time).

Prizes and Winners

Grand prize: iPad3, Model has 16GB of memory, Retina display, Wi-Fi enabled (or cash equivalent of $499 USD via PayPal may be substituted). Goes to the author of the blog post that gets the most votes.

Second prize: An incorporation or LLC filing at CorpNet (does not include State filing fees); MindMaple Pro Subscription; MS Office training video by SmartSolutions; $100 Amazon gift card (or $100 USD cash equivalent via PayPal may be substituted for the Amazon gift card); 20,000 credits plus 14 VIP days at JustRetweet. Goes to the author of the blog post that gets the best comment, as judged by the Moderators of BizSugar.

Third prize: An incorporation or LLC filing at CorpNet (does not include State filing fees); MindMaple Pro Subscription; MS Office training video by SmartSolutions; $100 Amazon gift card (or $100 USD cash equivalent via PayPal may be substituted for the Amazon gift card); 20,000 credits plus 14 VIP days at JustRetweet. Goes to the member who leaves the best comment, as judged by the Moderators of BizSugar.

Fourth prize: An incorporation or LLC filing at CorpNet (does not include State filing fees); MS Office training video by SmartSolutions; MindMaple Pro Subscription; $100 Amazon gift card (or $100 USD cash equivalent via PayPal may be substituted for the Amazon gift card); 10,000 credits plus 10 VIP days at JustRetweet. Goes to the author of the blog post that gets the second highest vote total.

Fifth prize: $50 Amazon gift card (or $50 USD cash equivalent via PayPal may be substituted for the Amazon gift card); 5,000 credits plus 10 VIP days at JustRetweet. Goes to the author of the blog post that gets the third highest vote total.

Eligibility

The Competition is open to registered members of BizSugar. Registration is free. Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Not eligible: employees and independent contractors of BizSugar or its parent company, Small Business Trends LLC, and any of the sponsors, or their respective families. BizSugar reserves the right to verify whether the Participant meets the requirements of these Terms and Conditions and the conditions of the law relevant to the award. Competition void where prohibited.

Posts must be submitted to the "Rock Your Biz" category on BizSugar to qualify.

Only votes registered through official BizSugar voting buttons will be counted (for example, Facebook Likes, Google +1s, Twitter tweets and similar buttons do not count as votes for purposes of determining the Competition winners).

Comments must be made on BizSugar.com to qualify for the commenting prizes (second and third prizes).

Acceptable forms of publicizing your blog posts

You may promote your posts through your own social networks, house email/mobile lists, your blogs, your websites, forums, and social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, etc.

To clarify: yes, you are allowed to ask your friends, family, customers, social media followers, business connections and other people to vote or comment on your submission -- just as long as you do not pay (or offer to pay) for votes or comments.

No buying of votes or comments

The following is strictly prohibited:

- You may NOT buy votes or comments, or promise to pay monetary compensation to anyone for voting or commenting on a submission. This includes, but is not limited to, purchasing votes and/or comments via Fiverr, AmazonTurk, job boards, buy/sell forums or similar places -- such activity is against the rules.

- You may NOT artificially inflate voting counts through technical means or otherwise.

Submissions, votes and/or comments violating the above will be disqualified, in the sole discretion of BizSugar. Those in violation are also subject to having their BizSugar accounts terminated without notice.

Miscellaneous

BizSugar reserves the right to terminate or to change the Competition at any time, without prior notice. The deadline date may be extended due to unavailability of the Competition Website or other reasons. BizSugar may designate a "run-off" period in the event of tie votes, or may choose another method in its discretion, to break the tie.

The decision of BizSugar (via its CEO) will be final as it relates to interpreting or applying these Terms and Conditions, or as to administration of the Competition.
