I like to included images in my blog post, if I find a graphical elements that illustrates and highlights the text in a good way. I like to have a personal touch to it. Check out Compfight.com for Flickr photos and then use Imagecodr.org in order to get a handy html code that you could imbed in the post.

A nice post to read Herbert - and highlights the importance of imagery in blogposts.

I use http://www.sxc.hu for copy-free images and they have very good quality paid images too :)
