Ride The Mobile Wave Into The Future

It’s no secret, going mobile is the wave of the future – and you and your small business should ride it. However, taking your business mobile requires some thought and strategy first. For instance, did you know that mobile sites should have a maximum width of 970 pixels? After all, you don’t want your site visitors having to scroll back and forth to view your products and services or read your blog posts.

Current statistics regarding mobile user numbers are staggering. According to an article on Business on Main:

“As of June 2011, there were 323 million U.S. wireless subscriptions, reports CTIA, the industry association.”

Additionally, reports show that:

“Half of American cell phone users have smartphones and two out of five have used their smartphone to make a purchase.”

Clearly it’s time to ride the mobile wave into the future – or be left behind. But before doing so, you need to brush up on the basics. Those can be found in the Business on Main article titled, “Taking Your Business Mobile: The Basics.”

I’d advise everyone reading this that’s interested in taking their business mobile to check it out. It covers the basics on strategy, optimization, mobile wallets, QR codes and more. If you’re going to go mobile, it’s imperitive that you think about these things first.
