The world is crazy over a game app! What is Pokemon GO, and how it is already bigger than Snapchat, instagram, Twitter and Facebook?

Ivan: Thanks for your input. I think am on the wavelength as you! ;) I am not into catching monsters and AR games, but it will be interesting to follow along and see what could come out of it.

Ivan: Have you tested the app yet? I will wait until it will be available here in Scandinavia. I have heard that their privacy setting is pretty hard core... I like to use a location based service called Foursquare / Swarm. Pokémon Go could evolve into this kind of service for small business owners (e.g., shops, gyms, restaurants, etc.).

Martin,

It's not officially available in my country, but I can get it installed by updating my Google Wallet settings (I use an Android phone).

To be honest with you, I personally don't get it why it can be so viral - but then again, it's probably because I'm not a Pokemon fan. AR games have been around for some time, so it's nothing new to me.

I tend to consider it as a fad, but businesses should ride the wave. The ROI is spectacular, IMO.

I once used Foursquare regularly, but not anymore. I personally don't think Pokemon Go will evolve into a business tool, as it tries to stay true to its core - catching monsters :)

Just my 2 cents.
