Heather - I use all of these plugin on my site all the time. It would be hard to list a favorite - they all do different things! Suffice it to say that my site would not be as awesome as I wished without them. :)

Definitely give CataBlog a try - it's one of my "go-to" plugins for streamlining my site (i.e. reducing the amount of text).
