Although Teamwork offers a number of useful features for businesses, its project management component is clearly the centerpiece of the platform. Projects are structured as “task trees,” Gantt charts, or business processes, and individual employees can be assigned roles (like project manager or worker), as well as tasks. Each team member can define his or her personal dashboard, send messages to colleagues, and review shared agendas.

In addition to Teamwork’s project management portal, the platform also offers a number of other useful business features. Users can log the time they’ve spent working on individual activities and funnel those work logs into integrated time sheets. They can also use the platform to track help desk issues and share many different types of documents. With Teamwork, projects and files can be connected with subversion repositories, Amazon S3 buckets, and Dropbox folders.
