The introduction of the Stamp Duty Land Tax 3% charge on purchases of additional residential properties in the UK has resulted in quite a lot of confusion amongst buyers as well as producing some unexpected results. This blog has some examples of SDLT which in all likelihood were not intended when this legislation was originally introduced.
