Lyceum that are tons of differences, but one of the primary differences is that CommentLuv doesn't replace the default WordPress commenting system - it enhances it. Both Livefyre and Disqus replace the WordPress commenting system. I've done a post before about why I don't use Livefyre - I think you'll find it here :)

I am commentluv user too and I agree with you saying that commentluv is all about trying to give back something to other people. In our situation it is very practical to know how to give rather than to receive, it is an attitude that in return will give us more than we are expecting.
