There are many toxic words out there, but it's important to remember that entrepreneurs need to follow their own paths. Your friends are reciting suggestions that worked for them. Why should you assume it will work for you?

This post really resonates with me. i too work from home and was once told I "should" go out and get a real job!! I love living in the country in the middle of nowhere and having a quiet life and being single. You can imagine all the "shoulds" I'm told about those choices! Thanks so much for writing this - I'm going to bookmark it and refer back whenever I hear that word again. As an accountant that does give businesses advice I'm probably a culprit myself in using the word but I shall do my best not to in future.
