Fabrizio: More power to you for going out and sharing your story. My advice is to look into building long-term sources of traffic, e.g., fellow bloggers that are linking to your site.

I must admit that I have never really reflecting on Google's different "animal" updates, due to the fact that I think we will see other search engine alternatives in the future, with different formulas. ;) If you write for humans and not for robots, you will be found in the search engines anyway.

Hi Fabrizio,

Thanks for sharing your story with the BizSugar community. It probably resonates with a good number of entrepreneurs, especially those who depend on search engines to bring in their traffic. The thing to remember is that changes instituted by Google have a huge affect on businesses that depend on organic search, and this can be the case whether they have been playing by the rules or not. Google adjustments can change those rules entirely and almost overnight, so beware.

Thanks Heather, you're welcome. When you think about it really, owning a business online isn't really your own, it's Google's, it's almost like you own it but they can decide the cause that takes the business away quite literally if that makes sense lol.
