Another sticky point to email etiquette is that email does not convey tone of voice or intent. It's real easy to inadvertently sound like a jerk in an email, especially when going back and forth with a co-worker, vendor, or customer on a topic you might not see eye-to-eye on.

It's true that e-mail is not text messaging. Honestly, I rarely get e-mails with creative shortened spellings and definitely don't send them, but I'm sure there are people out there who do.

Great post. I have a client who writes in capitals all the time - although she is being nice she doesn't realise she is "shouting". I believe that with email, social media and real life being polite is always important. Thanks for sharing on Bizsugar.com
