The health care system in the United States needs to focus more on preventing health issues through healthy living rather than treating health issues after they are a problem. Obesity is a great example of a condition that causes numerous other health problems (diabetes, joint replacement, sleep apnea, etc.) Helping people stay fit would be less expensive than treating these serious "symptoms" of obesity with no resolution of the core problem.
