Embrace the opportunities. Some are better aligned towards leadership of teams than others based on their natural talents. Empathy is usually not a strong talent in systemic folks, not a critique, just a reality, as you mention. Thanks.

I hate to admit it, but I love to be team leader. This is a role that rotates in my team, a decision which we made part of our charter. And yes, the assumption is that there are always going to be problems. How you deal with them is what matters, and that's where empathy comes into play; however, in IT and computer science there seems to be a lack of empathetic people--which I guess creates the opportunity I'm working towards--becoming a business or systems analyst, working with teams, techs, and clients to facilitate understanding and solution implementation. Anyway, great advice!
