What's happening in the business world parallels, to a certain extent, what happens in the natural world.
In some of the harshest environments in nature, such as the African safari, there are many differnent kinds of animals that can survive. Each species has its own hunting or scavenging skills and techniques, and each has an established a niche in the highly competitive environment of the safari ecosystem.
The key to survival is staying true to those inherent skills and techniques and knowing the right time and place to express them.
Big businesses have a lion's share of resources, power, and “procured” knowledge. It's a fact, whether we small business owners like it or not. But that doesn't mean there aren't still plenty of openings for smaller companies to get in and not only survive, but thrive.
