Harry, good observations. Part of the challenge will be for franchisors who don't have a thorough vetting process to allow people who don't have prior business experience to own a franchise and then expect them to work magic in the implementation of the franchisor model. A promised quick fix and instant success - hoped for by either party - should be cause to more thoroughly vet the applicant and the franchise to avoid a mistake. Thanks for posting on Biz Sugar.

Warren - I agree. The responsibility lies with both franchisor and franchisee. I have always maintained that the only way franchise model can succeed is by having both work together towards common goal.
