One of the most common characteristics of entrepreneurs is that they have known for a long time that they wanted to control their own destiny. As a child it may have been unclear to them how they would do that but if you ask them today the majority would tell you it was certainly the case.

I sometimes think entrepreneurship should be described as the art of making things happen. There's still a lot of team work involved, and that's important for any entrepreneur really, but the idea that you make something happen instead of waiting for others to do it, is critical. For sure! It is just like one of the entries in our book ‘How do you know if you are an Entrepreneur?’ (available on amazon) You know your an Entrepreneur if you thought about waiting for an opportunity to knock but decided to kick the door open instead!

"Put your destiny where it belongs - in your hands". Do not sit around and hope good things will happen. Make good things happen. This article really reminded me to run my own life, mind my own business and to take responsibility for and control of my own future. Thanks for posting!
