Heather,

Cheers - I have witnessed the same trend in where I live. I live in a town near our capital city (I can't stand all the traffic and such!) and I see small businesses are doing really well here.

Even we have a university, shopping mall, huge supermarket, hospitals and so on... in a small town.

Great exploration of some parallel and paradoxical ideas in business development. The growth in or migration to urban areas is the most interesting idea here because, with online connection growing, it would seem location within an urban center would be less important for running a business than ever.
