It used to be my policy to follow everyone back who followed me on Twitter. I figured there was no reason not to. It didn’t hurt me at all and following people who follow you is just a nice gesture, right? Plus I wanted to have as many followers as possible.

Great article, Tristian. I completely agree with what you said here. I don't follow every person that follows me as well. Not that I'm trying to be "stuck up" but I don't want to see spammy or uninteresting things in my feed. I only want to follow genuine people that I'll receive value from and that I've actually interacted with. I'm in the process now of actually UN-following a lot of the people I"m currently following. Thanks for sharing this post with us on BizSugar. I appreciate you giving your insights on this topic.

Great post - I've actually tried to do the same thing although need to take some more time to cull some follows. Thanks for sharing on Bizsugar.com......and as I've read and commented I'll also share on Twitter :)

I was thinking about this for a long time, do I really need to follow those people who follow me? You have just given me reasons.

Thanks for sharing.
