When it comes to blogging, we all inevitably find there are those days where we just plain don’t want to write. Even the most seasoned bloggers experience these days. To be honest, I’m writing this blog because I’m having one of those days…

I am not drinking kool-aid, I am a tea drinker! ;) I have been using PC, Linux and now Mac and Apple products. In the past I have had Nokia, Siemens, and Qtek (nowadays HTC) phones, but I love my iPhone 4S. :)

Jenn: I am an iPhone user, so I have to find the equivalent to your note app. iPhone has a simple and beautiful app called Notes and one app called Reminder(s). If you have an iPhone, I recommend you to check out Squarespace's Note. It is syncing your notes with email, Evernote, Dropbox, Twitter, etc.

Never drank the kool-aid... ;) I use a MacBook for work but that's about it! Always been an Android girl personally but that Note app sounds pretty great.

Jen: I have my paper notebooks by Moleskine and Field Notes always at hand. One small notebook in my back pocket and one in my briefcase. Do you have tips on notepad apps?

Good for you! I just use Color Note on my Android. It allows for checklist or regular text style notes. And then you can color code them based on topic. It's simple, but sometimes that's best!

Jenn: During my 11 years of blogging have had that feeling now and then. What's your best tip you have got for getting rid of writer's block?

Thanks for the tips, Jenn. Keeping notes is definitely a wonderful idea for those future dry spells. It's also a great way of keeping track of content you want to be sure you get to in a timely manner with your community.

I always keep a notepad going on my smartphone with random topics that I come up with at any given time. This way, when I hit a day of writer's block, I can go back to the list and pick a topic that inspires me to write.

We often meet those days Jenn so, you're not alone on that at all. There are those days when we just feel like we have nothing to write about, we even feel like there is nothing in our brain again. I'm sure this post will be very handy for others. Thanks for sharing

Val

Thanks Val! I'm glad you enjoyed the article and I hope it does come in handy for others as well. Thankfully those days don't come often, but it's always nice to know that we're not alone!
