Thank you very much for you reply! Have you seen an external site, having a listing of Twitter lists?

The twitter lists and nearby feature is something I haven't really thought out about! I wonder what type of things you can talk to twitter users/followers that are nearby....weather? Local news? I'm not sure how to begin with!

Happy to help you discover some new things to do with Twitter! As for local conversation, if you have a business, you can use keywords to connect with people. For example, if you have a restaurant, searching for nearby people saying they are "hungry" will give you the opportunity to start talking to them about what they're in the mood for. A spa could search for someone who needs a "pedicure" or is "stressed out" and needs to "relax." People tweet just about everything that comes to mind, so you can often find something relevant to start talking about. For your personal account, you could always look for people looking for something fun to do nearby, or asking for recommendations for the best spots around town. BOOM. You get to be the expert!

One thing I'm guilty of doing on Twitter is not spacing my tweets out. I tend to post as and when. Would be better if I got into some sort of routine.

Thanks for the additional tips, MainStreetHub.

I'll look into Buffer/Hootsuite. Would be useful for me to peruse one of those, load my tweets there as the inspiration hits and spread them out.

Thanks again.

A routine is definitely the way to go. You can use a scheduling app like Buffer or Hootsuite to time them out. Both offer analytics to show you what's working. You may also try posting during off-peak hours occasionally to hit different audiences. Spacing things out like that also lets you post the same content multiple times without looking strange, and making it visible to different people at different times. Happy posting!

Great tips. Do you know how you could search for Twitter list on small business issues?

Hey, Martin. I responded to your comment on the blog post itself, as this is a very good question and I wanted to make sure the answer lived there along with the post. Thanks for reading, as always. :)
