Growing up, my parents stressed the importance of manners. I was supposed to answer the landline "Hello, this is Jenny speaking." This is a thing of the past, landlines are becoming extinct. With new technology there are new rules, manners for social media. Read about them here!

I've been reading quite a lot of articles recently Jenny and I can honestly say that the manners which you describe are in short supply.

My grandmother and mum will always say that it costs nothing to be nice. A simple thank you, or a little thought like you say in your third point - these cost nothing.

And while I sometimes disagree with someone and even if I think they are an idiot, I will never say it. It's better to be the bigger person really for all concerned. I don't know why people are hurtful in the comments they leave on SM sites.

Great post Jenny and there are a lot of people who should be shown this. I also don't like bad language online and often unfollow or unfriend someone who swears a lot.....for no reason. Thanks for sharing on Bizsugar.com
