Social media planning and strategy is a fairly new section for most small businesses in their marketing plan. It was only a few years ago that businesses were adding an “online” section to their marketing plan, and adding sub-categories like “website” and “banner ads”.

It has no finish line, and no time off, either - it's on 24/7/365 - unlike the mail, or once-a-week TV shows. Theoretically, it's out there till the universe implodes. Will the people of the future find it interesting and worthwhile? (The Outer Limits is on now in the background - otherwise that last idea wouldn't have occurred to me.)

Hi Duncan, Thanks for your comment. True, social media especially has no time off. It functions in every country around the world, non-stop. We tend to forget this sometimes. We think it only works 9-5 in our little worlds ;) The future..... is something else :)
