Thanks for the reply Trevor - I don't normally tout an article but if you look back on my submissions on Bizsugar to a week or so ago you'll see a great article from one of our contributors on Tweak Your Biz about the legal problems you can face when employees use Social Media on your behalf. It really opened my eyes - worth a read if you get a chance. It's written by Flor McCarthy

Thanks for the recommendation Sian, I'll have to go back and see if I am able to locate the article. We're always looking to expand our own knowledge when it comes to legal items. It's complex and ever changing aspect of social media. ~ Trevor

Great post Trevor - I read through it agreeing with it all thinking please mention training and a Social Media Policy for your employees - and you did. It's great if your employees get involved in your Social Media Strategy as long as they are all singing from the same song sheet. Another factor to think of is the legalities involved too and make sure your business is covered. Thanks for sharing on Bizsugar.com

Thanks for your comment Sian! We couldn't share an article about having employees involved in your social media without talking about the policies. In fact, if you have employees at all, you can't really manage them without having in depth policies, social media is no different. That is a great point regarding the legalities, many businesses don't think of that aspect. Glad that you enjoyed the article! ~ Trevor
