For many like me, Orkut is the one that gave us the first taste of social networking. And it’ll be extremely tough for us (no matter how easily we have forgotten the very existence of the accounts) to forget the wonderful memories of reconnecting with friends lost long ago. Yes, Orkut was the first to make it real fun to become “social” via scraps, photo updates and testimonials.

I remember hearing about Orkut the first time. I got an invite from a friend in America to the first real social network I tested out. It was only for a short period of time, before the site starting to have growing pains and it took forever before you could log in! ;) It got pretty popular in places like Brazil.
