LinkedIn Buys Newsle. Is LinkedIn CRM a Possibility?

LinkedIn has bought Newsle. The service lets you import your contacts from both LinkedIn and Facebook and then scan for mentions of people in your network on the Web. Newsle will continue to operate as a stand-alone service, but will also be further integrated into LinkedIn’s other products.

I think that LinkedIn has been pretty good at adding services to its portfolio. I have been impressed by what Newsle is compiling as news update via email, but I must admit that I haven’t checked out so much lately.

Brent’s analysis is spot on. LinkedIn has a gold mine of data. The question is how you could use it, as a user? What is your guess of the percentage of LinkedIn users are actively using the service, every work day?
