As humans and marketers we have a constant need to validate what we do. We look for metrics to analyze our effectiveness. Whether professionally or personally, we want to be better – better than we were last week, better than our competitor, better than expected. And this is why Klout is so popular.

Jenn: So how is Kred and Klout different. Please compare and contrast! ;)

I really like Klout. I know you shouldn't focus on getting a score but it really helped me with my social media. I could tell how well I was doing or how well I wasn't doing and that really helped me. Plus, I love getting the emails saying that I had a moment. Thanks for sharing this with us Jenn!

Jenn: Thanks! :) Congrats to your score! Are you using the other influential services that you talk about in post?

Thank you :) I do check and use Kred occasionally but that's really the only other one that I use. Although I have checked out and experimented with the others.

Jenn: What's your Klout score? I have 60 at the moment. I have 3% to go until I am "influential"... ;)

Good for you Martin! And, at 60, you're still very influential :) Mine is currently at 70 though it has fluctuated down to 69 a number of times...
