Instagram has enabled the ability for users to embed images or videos into their websites and blog posts. Here's how to do it.

The Instagram embed is in an iframe, which means that it will work where iframing is allowed, such as on a self-hosted Wordpress blog.

It will not work on a Wordpress.com blog because the iframe is stripped out.

It cannot be pinned with Pinterest.

It does't work, as far as I can tell, with Blogger blogs.

Nice technical information Mike. I have an idea on how that can be useful. Thanks for sharing.
