Social Media is the world at which business and people understand and mingle with each other, learning each other for the growth of each other. Nothing has been more reachable since the discovery of the internet at which everyone can know anyone and anyone can sell anything to everyone. Also the basic principle of business which is advertising made a big boom in which we can advertise to everyone at a small cost making it an efficient and economical way of saying "BUY THIS" thus making small business successful and everybody happy in return.

Yes social media can be good both ways. The customer can ask you questions to reassure themselves before they buy from you. Also important is businesses can ask what their customers REALLY want.
