This is a helpful article Sarah and there are a couple of areas that you mentioned that I have not done. I have just joined a couple of groups and the experience so far has been good.Just need to get my act together more.

It's the "lots of other things" you mention that makes Linked my favorite social media tool. I used it as a static resume, as Ann-Christin mentions, for some years but since I've launched Global Copywriting the discussion groups have proven to be an extremely valuable feature, too.

Extremely helpful, Sarah. Thanks for sharing. Most of my professional acquaintances, friends, and business partners have a LinkedIn profile, but I’d say the vast majority only use it as a static online resume. I know I did, until recently. I’ve discovered LinkedIn has so much more to offer. And now I have a few more things to try thanks to your list.
