The results are in; beautiful people really do get all the good jobs. According to a study published by the Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, the attractiveness of an interviewee can significantly bias the outcome of the hiring decision.

So what does this mean for people who are not as physically attractive? What a bunch of rubbish. If you hire employs based on looks what kind of an operation are you running?

I suppose to a extent, this is just human nature! One thing that I've noticed over the years is that it appears to be effective to dress according to my clients. In other words, I will dress up for a bank and slightly down for an IT company.

Interesting article!

I definitely agree that people who care about the way they look often get more opportunities, but wouldn't exactly say 'beautiful' people.

As long as the interviewee is showered, dressed appropriately, clean and well-groomed (and has nice manners!), it's fine.
