Great post. I find that I can never go anywhere without my notepad and pen - just to jot down blog ideas or planning my schedule. I often have ideas whilst driving so I use the recorder on my iPhone (previously I used to phone home and leave messages on my answerphone). When I used to commute to an office years ago I used audio cassettes (yes it was a long time ago) to learn another language. Time never needs to be wasted if you don't want it to be.
