Attitude definitely is important! It can define what you see as possible and what you believe you can accomplish. Those are both pretty critical things, of course, since they can affect your ultimate success or failure. I think it's best to be optimistic but realistic. (No, I don't think those are contradictory terms.) Bringing this attitude to any challenge you can meet it with an intelligent plan and a realistic idea of the results to expect.
