Rachel: Thanks for giving the original source of the story. I read material by Steven Covey during my studies at Southern New Hampshire University. ;)

Steph Crowder of Courage & Clarity podcast and member of the team at Fizzle, has created a method she calls the 15 minute weekly plan. There she talks about the important, but not urgent things, often don't have much space in the calendar (jar).

Hi, Martin. Thank you and I have indeed heard the story. It is originally from Steven Covey's book, 'First Things First.' Verne Harnish mentioned in the 'Rockerfeller Habits.' The story goes that if you fill the jar backwards, with water - everything that hits you during the day, sand, pebbles, and then the rocks, your big priorities - rocks - have nowhere to fit in. So very true!
