As to a general life rule, Heidi's exactly right - you have to pick your battles. I sadly witnessed many co-workers who'd fight with management for a minor cause that they stood No Chance of winning. All they did was alienate management. I tried to dissuade them, but they had to learn the hard way (if indeed they ever learned).
