How would you integrate sales pipeline with the supply chain?

We primarily work with service-based companies, so the supply chain doesn't intersect with the supply chain. But But for manufacturing based companies, the more leads you have in the sales pipeline, your inventory needs to be prepared to fill them if they come through!
