The best offensive-minded Boxers (not defensive greats like pre-sanction Ali, Pernell Whitaker, etc.) learn to seemingly effortlessly slip punches - not Aikido's redirection of force (no holds allowed), but Boxing's equivalent. Roberto Duran is an example of a slugger who was great at slipping - he fought till he was 50, and only stopped then due to injuries suffered in a crash. If you just glance, you don't see him slipping on TV, but he's an acknowledged master.
