In this day and age, writing high-quality articles is not enough. Visitors want to be entertained visually.

Adding images to your content will certainly make a difference in the experience of your audience, while increasing your chance of being found in search engine results.

"Now, how do I find great pictures without breaking my piggy bank," you ask. Do not worry, I have just what you need! Check out the list below.

Picked up some great new sites, thanks for the heads up. It's getting progressively harder to find decent quality images that people are happy to publicize and share. Long story short, thanks for sharing! Really helpful.

Cendrine,

Great list. The resources out there are really quite extensive. I know some people who have extensively used morgueFile but I'm frequently amazed at how many free photos are available on Flickr. It should be added that, if you are a photographer this is another fantastic way to publicize your work, by letting others use and share some of it free.
