Still using file cabinets overflowing with old documents you’ll most likely never read again? I was introduced to Evernote a few years ago by a friend and fell in love with it.

Gary: Thanks again for the tip about Cam Card. I will get in the near future. I like the notebook because I use both low and high tech tools. You get three months of premium service included in the price of the smart notebook.

Gary: I have to check out Cam Card. I have been looking for a good business card reader. Have you heard about Evernote's new product, Smart Notebook by Moleskine? That could be fitting to have it is as an ideas notebook, writing down notes, do drawings and workflow charts, etc.

Cam Card is a pretty neat app, it's from the same makers as Cam Scanner, which is awesome. I might check out the Moleskin notebooks, up until now, it's only been available for iOS, but I believe they just launched for Android. I've always taken photos of my notes with Evernote, it works pretty good without a Moleskin. Evernote includes free OCR for images and OCR for PDF's for premium members.

Thanks Gary - I will certainly check that out too. I'm finding Evernote is great for the blog posts I write as I can collate all the info I need there. But your post shows so many more uses for it - thanks again

Hey Sian, the more I use Evernote, the more uses I find for it. I've found that having a your Notebooks setup properly is the key to staying organized with it. Check out the Camcarb app in the article, it's my #2 most used app after Evernote!
