Cate: I recently attended a Meetup arranged by HUB Gothenburg. CEO, Danie Daboczy, told his story of FundedByMe. I think that they have come up with an optimal combination of equity, loan, and reward-based crowdfunding. Their own funding campaign reached SEK 3 million in less than two days.

The optimal combination of funding depends on the business. Every entrepreneur needs to figure out the best option to get them where they need to be. Unfortunately, until the SEC gives us their rules, equity crowdfunding is still illegal in the US so that's not even on the table for my clients.
