SMB marketing budgets, especially for content marketing, is usually pretty tight. I have come across more than a few studies that indicate many B2B SMBs have plans to increase their content marketing budget this year but even then, going from zero dollars to a couple hundred doesn’t give marketers much wiggle room. If you have ever tried to hire a professional copywriter you’ve probably found the good ones don’t come cheap and you could easily spend all your content marketing budget on a few articles.
