I agree with Johnfaust that it can potentially be harmful (my words, not his). Many companies are scared to use employee ambassadors as they are scared of how an employee may represent them. I always recommend to direct your employees on your company's culture and motto so that they can properly represent you. Don't just unleash them and hope they will do their best. Everyone needs coaching and employee ambassadors are no different. With that in mind, I also tell clients that you MUST implement employee ambassadors as they are the best representation of your company.

I like the idea of using employees as company ambassador for social media. But it has negative affect to company if they have un-discipline staff
