This is one GREAT post. You did a fantastic job and I'll def be taking you up on some of these tips. It's really important to know how to reach out to busy people. A lot of people get intimidated by this, but if you really want to get ahead and get noticed, you have to step up to the plate and man up.

I don't know why there aren't more blog posts on this topic. It's important and, I think, misunderstood by a lot of people. Social media is great for connecting but generally relationships of a deeper level start with e-mails. Knowing how to do them right is critical, and not just with the super busy. The wrong kind of e-mail can turn someone off...fast. I think it's really important, just as in social media, to develop a rapport first.
