I'm currently all about freelancers, however, I understand why an employer would hire a permanent staff member; consistency, growth, etc. Having said that, I used to work in recruitment and was faced with the challenge of matching up compatible permanent candidates with my clients, because the sector was luxury retail the client would sometimes take on a temporary candidate during the interim and end up hiring said temp, great for them but not so good for my commission!
